Children are encouraged to gain knowledge, confidence and independence and achieve their highest standards in all aspects of school life.’

Sharneyford Primary School is a thriving village school situated in a semi rural area of Bacup. Staff, children, parents and governors work together to provide a safe, caring, family environment where every child is valued and encouraged to meet their full potential. This was recognised in our 2022 OFSTED inspection, where we were rated as a good school.

An experienced staff provide high standards of teaching. Specialist teachers in music, sport and Spanish are used to enrich our curriculum. Through a range of experiences, children are given many opportunities to develop their own skills and interests. Our children are keen to learn and work in partnership with staff to work to achieve their individual curriculum targets.

As a small, friendly school, we work together to ensure that everyone is treated with care and respect. The calm and happy environment that we work together to achieve is remarked on by many visitors to school.
