Class: Class 1 Year: 2022 - 2023
Class one had a Victorian Toy Workshop. They looked at lots of different toys and spoke about the difference between the rich children's toys and the poorer mill workers children's toys. The rich families had china dolls and mechanical toys like a Jack in the Box. The Mill children had wooden toys and string pulls. They also used items from the mill to play.
The children played some traditional games and worked out that it took 25 pirns from the mill to go from the floor to the ceiling in the hall.
