Class 1 news 10.10.25

In Science this week, we had a wonderful time sniff testing different items such as; rosemary, garlic, vanilla and nutmeg! Not many of the children enjoyed the smell of such strong garlic! However, it linked nicely to our topic of the human body and the five senses. In English, Year 1 and Year 2 have been learning about non-chronological reports and we have been looking at how best to write one - next week we will begin planning our own about wolves! Reception have continued enjoying their story, The Owl Babies and linking it to our own home lives and how we feel safe! The Museum service outreach team came into school to deliver a workshop on The Great Fire of London which everyone enjoyed.
